Aztec Drilling

Aztec Drilling is an oil and natural gas drilling company built on professionalism, customer service, and the ever-so-critical safety and employee training. With nearly 50 years of experience with precision drilling technology, we have the expertise to safely drill in tight places, leaving minimal impacts. Our drilling rigs offer depth ranges from 2,500-16,000 feet, with derrick capacities up to 600,000 lbs of static hook load. Rig models include Wilson, Cardwell, Apache, BW Hyduke, and Loadcraft rigs, the majority equipped with hydraulic top-drives. See full list of Drilling Rigs.

Safety is at the core of every operation. We begin in the classroom with our Safety Training Program, certified with IADC RIG PASS (RP625) and SafeLand accreditation for our Drilling Contractor In-House Training program. Each employee receives three full days of classroom training. We also offer continuing education programs to make safety not just an exercise, but a lifestyle. Read more at HS&E page.

Our corporate headquarters is in Aztec, New Mexico in the San Juan Basin, with satellite locations in: the Marcellus shale region in Indiana, Pennsylvania; Permian Basin in Hobbs, New Mexico; and the Uintah Basin in Vernal, Utah.
